Audi Skysphere was introduced as the first concept of the 'Sphere' prototype series, which summarizes the new ideology of the German brand. The electric two-door sports car attracted attention with its axle distance feature, which can extend up to 250 millimeters depending on the driving mode.
While Audi is showcasing its vision for its electric future, a Vietnamese craftsman has made the Skysphere a reality for his daughter. A video about the construction of the wooden tool was published on the YouTube channel ND - Woodworking Art. The master starts with the ground section first.
It took 2.5 months to build
Then it is on to the construction of mechanical parts and wheels. Powered by an electric motor, the wooden Audi Skysphere has a working steering mechanism, headlights and taillights. The prototype has curved lines just like the concept car.
It took two and a half months to create a one-to-one copy of the Audi Skysphere. Of course, there is no extendable axle distance feature in the wooden model. In Audi's concept, the length can increase from 4.94 meters to 5.19 meters. However, since the car was made for a little girl, there is no need for this.
